Aum Sri Sai Ram

2018 Region 4 (Mid-Central Region) 41st Annual Sai Retreat

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

With a humble prayer asking for the blessings of our Beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, I extend to you an invitation to attend the 41st Mid-Central Region 4, Annual Retreat 2018, to be held on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, at Kiwanis Camp Wyman, in Eureka, Missouri (St. Louis).

“The very first spiritual practice one must adopt is the cultivation of inner silence, to put an end to the endless dialogue with the mind. Let the mind rest for a while. Do not project on the mind irrelevant details and pollute it with fumes of envy and greed. Every idea we entertain, either good or bad, gets impressed on the mind, as on carbon paper. An element of weakness and unsteadiness is thus introduced in the mind. Keep the mind calm and clear. Do not agitate it every moment by your non-stop dialogue.” Sathya Sai Baba.

“All the joy you crave for is in you. But, like a man who has vast riches in the iron chest but who has no idea where the key is, you suffer. Hear properly the instructions, dwell upon them in the silence of meditation, practice what has been made clear therein; then, you can secure the key, open the chest, and be rich in joy.”  Sathya Sai Baba.

Come to St. Louis to focus on the most important journey, the inward journey. We will gain insights on how to effectively use the mind as vehicle for transforming our self and serving society. The speakers will inspire us to master the mind and selflessly serve society.

Dr. Surendra Upadhyay – An ophthalmologist from the United Kingdom, who is a pioneer of the SSIO International Medical Camps and a Member of the International Medical Committee.  Dr. Upadhyay has been coordinating Medical Camps and health awareness seminars all over the world since 1985. He had the honor and privilege of working closely with our beloved Sathya SaiBaba and Saint Mother Theresa.

Dr. Meera Narashimhan –  A Professor and Chair in the Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University Of South Carolina, School of Medicine. Dr. Narashimhan has served in Medical Camps and was a speaker at Ladies’ Day at the 90thbirthday Celebration, Prasanthi Nilayam. She has spoken at the Super Specialty Hospital, Prashanti Nilayam, the SSIO International Medical Conference in Anaheim, CA, 2017 and Radio Sai Global Harmony.

Please see detailed speaker information under the Speaker Tab.
