Dear Embodiments of Divine Love,

Sai Ram!  On behalf of the North Central Regional officers, Conference Coordinators, and Conveners we invite all of you to the 28th North Central Region (Region 5) Sai Conference and Retreat, to be held at Camp Henry Horner, Ingleside, IL from August 31 - September 3, 2018 with much Love and enthusiasm. This year’s theme, ’Unity Begins with ...?,’ addresses in the spirit of self-inquiry, a vital issue we  all face at this time at every level of our lives. This year’s retreat promises to be an inspiring, bliss-filled event with dynamic programs of interactive workshop sessions along with the guest speaker sessions on the topics of Mindfulness – Reflect and Respond through Sai Lens, Overcoming Negativity, Sai Parenting.

Sathya Sai Baba has told us to regard the Sai Organization as our ‘life breath’ and that it is our good fortune to be involved with it.  He has shown in so many ways how His grace is showered on us when we participate in the Sai Organization, including the annual retreat, with selfless love. The retreat is a golden opportunity to immerse ourselves fully in Sathya Sai Baba’s Divine Love, utilizing that to deepen our spiritual practices, thereby transforming us from the mundane to the godly.

We have a lineup of outstanding guest speakers with many years of experience with Sai and dedicated participation in the Sai Mission.  They will share Sai’s message of Love, His works, and their experience of His omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence.  In addition, we will have an opportunity for good company (satsang) with each other as we imbibe His message and discuss how to practice His teachings as His devotees to secure His Grace.

Dr. Michael Goldstein did his premedical studies at UCLA — the University of California at Los Angeles, and received the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the George Washington University Medical School. He practiced family medicine in Southern California for 30 years. He has been Medical Director of Ananda Medical Group, a multi-specialty medical clinic; Medical Director of an association of primary care physicians in Southern California; and Physician Adviser to four Southern California Hospitals for Case Management, Utilization Management, and Quality Improvement. Upon Swami’s instruction, Dr. Goldstein formed and presided over the Prasanthi Council and the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation until his retirement in 2012. He has literally dedicated his life to serving Swami’s organization. He has been an inspirational role model for all on how to serve Swami’s mission and implicitly and unconditionally follow His directives. Very few devotees in general, and far fewer from outside of India, have had such close proximity and direct guidance from Sathya Sai Baba over the years.  Dr. Goldstein was the Chief Guest at the 18th Convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in November 1999.

Dr. Sunder Iyer lives in Cleveland, Ohio and is an alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. He was in the first batch of students to join Swami's college at Puttaparthi in 1979. He completed his Bachelors, Masters and subsequently, Ph.D. in Banking and Finance in 1989. Sunder's passion is practicing and teaching yoga and he was the only student who received recognition and a medal for yoga from the Divine hands of Swami during the first convocation of the Sai University.

Ms. Faranak Khandadia is currently the National Online SSE Coordinator.  She was born in a Sai devotee family, growing up knowing Swami as God in Human Form. For about two decades, she was a Professor and Head of Psychology department in a Bombay university affiliated college in India, before she moved to USA, in 1998. Her dissertation work was focused on the role of religiosity and family support in the experience of death anxiety in terminally ill cancer patients. Faranak has been a Bal Vikas guru for 40 years. She was blessed to be chosen by Bhagawan Baba to serve as one of the first EHV trainers when Swami gifted the world with His EHV program.

Please Register TODAY and help the organizing team to serve you better. If you need any help/assistance with the registration fee or with transportation, please feel free to let us know when you register.

We are making every effort to make the Retreat truly inspiring and enjoyable to all. It will be a very memorable experience for one and all, because of the variety of programs to address the theme, while allowing enough time for leisurely interaction with the rest of the Sai family.
We look forward to seeing you at the Retreat!

In Loving service of Sai,
